SALTA (FIBA World Championship) - Andres Nocioni is hopeful of making a full recovery in time for the FIBA World Championship after limping out of Argetina's training camp with a sprained ankle.
Nocioni was hurt on Saturday, but tests completed on Sunday have given Argentina every reason to hope the influential Philadelphia 76ers forward will be back soon.
"We expect there to be developments in the first 72 hours and then after 10 days, and those interest me most," said team doctor Diego Grippo. "For now, he is out of all the training with Argentina.
"But we have started down the path of rehabilitation ahead of the World Championship. You can do it with players like Andres Nocioni, as they have the will and they will sacrifice as part of their personality. This is key to accelerating the process."
