Zoran Planinic has long been considered one of the most promising players in Europe, but he is yet to truly reach the high expectations placed on him - even if his game has matured since he came back from the United States.

He originally revealed himself with Cibona Zagreb and then decided he was ready to play in the NBA.

But he spent three seasons on the bench with the New Jersey Nets behind Jason Kidd and came back to Europe.

He then played four seasons in the Euroleague with Vitoria and CSKA Moscow but couldn’t impose himself as the leader of these teams.

Even with the Croatian National Team, he is now considered more or less as the back-up of Roko-Leni Ukic, even if he is able to play next to him on the court.

His height allows him to post-up the opposite point guard, but he is also able to drive to the basket and deliver high quality passes.
