José Calderon is not coming off his best season as he has had an average year playing for the Toronto Raptors in the NBA (10.3 points and 5.9 assists per game, with 29 games coming off the bench).

He landed in Canada in 2005 and has played great seasons in the American league, but several injuries during the 2008-09 forced him to sit down for many games as well as missing EuroBasket 2009 and losing some confidence.

Since then, we are all now waiting to see the best José Calderón back in action with the National Team and he is willing to play his best.

A great floor general, he takes wise decisions on the court and helps the Spanish offence run smoothly, playing fast and effective basketball.

Besides that control, Calderón is a solid scorer who can shoot long range jumpers or drive to the basket with success.

When a game is in the line, Calderón will always be ready to step up and take the responsibility.
