Güler is a demon on defense.

His long arms and active feet can turn life into hell for any opposing guard.

He harassed opponents in 2007-08 carrying Beşiktaş to the top of the Beko Basketball League and Final Eight in the ULEB Cup, and the following year led Efes into the final series forcing Willie Solomon into five turnovers per game.

But his playing time fluctuated last year.

He is a great athlete and unstoppable in the open court, but like many defensive specialists, his halfcourt offense is raw to say the least.

He has improved his outside shooting to passable levels and he plays knowing his qualities and limitations.

He brings much to the table and takes away almost nothing.

The type of player every team, but especially Turkey needs.

He is the spark this snowball of a team needs to become an avalanche.

He will be the leader of the ball-pressure defense of Turkey.
