Four years ago, Perperoglou was about to become “another lost talent” of Greek basketball.

In two seasons with Panionios he was unable to prove his abilities.

Then, during the summer of 2006, he began to work on his weaknesses.

He eventually managed to become the starting forward not only in his new club (one year later) of Panathinaikos but also for the National Team.

“Pana” coach Zeljko Obradovic worked with him and turned him into a key player.

He still needs to work on his confidence, but  when he achieves this, he will become a real all-round player.

A good defender, great shooter with his smooth style, “Perpe” (married to ex-WNBA star Erin Buescher) will be the starting forward for the team.
