Carlos Morais knows exactly what his role is within the Angola National Team – he is the leading scorer.
He switches in the starting five with Olimpio Cipriano, and has an excellent outside shooting touch.
His importance to the team is growing, which is visible from last year’s FIBA Africa Championship, where he had an impressive efficiency for three-pointers finishing with 52% percentage behind the arc.
Now an established international player, his impact on the game will be totally different for his second FIBA World Championship.
Meanwhile at club level, after a short stint in the United States at the Community of Christian Stockbridge High School in Georgia in 2004-05, Carlos Morais returned to Angola and has played for Petro Atletico, the oil company based club.
