A reliable and serviceable point guard, Kamrani knows what it takes to play solidly for his National Team and also to win trophies.

He was a fundamental part of the Mahram team that successfully defended their Asia Club Championship title earlier this year in Doha.

After a slightly disappointing showing at the Olympics in 2008 when he was affected by an injury in the lead-up to Beijing, Kamrani was back on form last summer as Iran won successive FIBA Asia Championships.

Kamrani is great defensively and will come up with key steals while at the other end of the floor he can pull the strings when needed and is a playmaker that always puts his team-mates first.

With superb passing ability and a hard-nosed approach, he is a great fit for this Iran team not only on the court but also off it.

He is a really popular character and a true cornerstone of success for both club and country – only his outside shot sometimes lets him down.
