Eric GORDON
#12 | Shooting Guard

Coming off a sophomore NBA season in which he improved his per-game averages in scoring (16.9 points), passing (3.0 assists) and defense (1.1 steals), Eric Gordon really seduced Mike Krzyzewski at the USA Basketball training camp in July.

« I thought he did a great job out there. He played extremely well and shot the ball well. He’s a terrific young guard. »

Even if he’ll never be the first option for Team USA, Gordon is a multi-faceted scorer and a constant threat who can help Team USA put points on the board.

This season Gordon also improved his passing ability, which became considerably better as the months passed, as did his ball-handling.

While Gordon has become a fans favourite for the Clippers, largely for his scoring ability, his true impact on the team this season has been at the defensive end.

He’s already the team’s premier perimeter defender, consistently guarding the opposing team’s best guard.

He did a similar job with the national team during practices.
