Last summer in Poland, Nachbar was without question one of the best small forwards in the competition.
It seems that now he has turned 30, the former NBA player is in the prime of his career.
Bostjan turned pro at just 17 and was drafted five years later in 2002. He was selected quite high, as the 15th pick by the Houston Rockets.
His NBA experience was however not too convincing. Nachbar was not quick enough to be a starter in a good NBA team although his qualities allow him to thrive in FIBA basketball.
He is a very versatile player, able to play shooting guard, small forward and power forward.
He can shoot from long distance, he can rebound and defend against many players.
This season, for the first time since he came back from the NBA in 2008 to sign with the new rich club of Dynamo Moscow, he played in the Euroleague with Efes Pilsen (12.4 points and 3.7 rebounds) and found probably the best way to prepare for this World Championship.
