Fresh from his successful debut year with Granada in Spain where he averaged 11ppg, 4rpg and 3apg, Ingles will be ready to make an impact on the international game after wetting his feet at the Beijing Olympics.
Fit and athletic, Ingles brings energy, versatility and excellent playmaking skills to the Boomers’ wing positions and averaged almost 20ppg in the 2009 FIBA Oceania Championship.
A long 204cm swingman, if Ingles can minimise his turnovers he will be a very valuable impact player off the bench for coach Brett Brown.
Despite not getting the opportunity to represent Australia at junior level, Ingles made an immediate impact as a professional, winning the 2007 NBL Rookie of the Year for the South Dragons, before playing a major role in the Dragons’ first NBL championship in 2009, averaging 13.1ppg.
