Sun Yue is known as the Chinese Magic Johnson because he is very tall for his position and because he particularly enjoys passing the ball to his team-mates.
Sun Yue started his career at the age of 15 when he joined the Aoshen basketball club in Beijing.
He went with the club to the United States to participate in the ABA League.
Sun was selected as one among the star five in ABA.
In 2005, he made his debut for the National Team.
Selected 40th in the 2007 NBA draft by the Los Angeles Lakers, Sun joined Chinese team-mates Yao Ming of Houston and Yi Jianlian in the league in 2008.
He is yet to make much of an impact oversees, seeing only very limited playing time.
To get some more playing time in the NBA he will probably need to learn to be less unselfish.
