Marko Popovic has not always been a starter with the National Team, but he is usually on the court during crunch time. He can be decisive thanks to his long shooting qualities although he is more of a streaky shooter.
Last summer at EuroBasket 2009 in Poland, he showed some inconsistencies scoring only 17 points over the last three games after having scored 30 points on 5-of-7 from three-point range against France in the qualifying round.
Despite being only 28, he already has great experience as he has played for many great European teams like Valencia, Cibona Zagreb, Efes Pilsen and Kaunas.
He joined UNICS Kazan in Russia two years ago and averaged 18.3 points and 4.8 assists this season in the Eurocup, being one the most valuable players in the entire competition.
