Martynas Pocius, a former Duke Blue Devil, made his debut in professional basketball with Zalgiris just last season and is already on the door step of making the National Team as well.
The explosive guard is known for his aggressive drives to the basket and sharp style of play – his presence on the court could never be left unnoticed.
However, Pocius did struggle with keeping his game consistent throughout the season as his numbers were either sky-high, or pretty much at ground level steadying out for an average of 8.1 points, 2.1 rebounds and 1.4 assists in the Euroleague for the club from Kaunas, which added the Baltic League title to its trophy case, but lost out to Lietuvos Rytas in the Lithuanian League finals.
As a matter of fact, Pocius' father played basketball for Statyba Vilnius – the predecesor of Lietuvos Rytas and the main rivals of Martynas' current club Zalgiris Kaunas.
