The MVP of this June’s New Zealand NBL grand final series, Tait is a man in form heading into the FIBA World Championship. In the deciding game three, Tait led his Wellington Saints to a thrilling 83-81 victory with 28 points on 11/13 shooting.
Last year in the 2009 FIBA Oceania Championship Tait was also in great form, averaging 12 points on 57 percent and 4.0 assists to lead his team to a memorable victory.
At 193cm, Tait is a point guard who thrives in the open court and loves getting to the basket and will be hoping to translate his form from the NZNBL.
Where he has been on four All-Star Fives and won three titles – onto the biggest basketball stage of them all, the FIBA World Championship.
